The holidays are over and one of my favorite decorations we created was a winter wonderland ceiling. Made from plain paper and twinkle lights it was breathtaking and I could hardly bare to take it down. So much so that I decided to leave the twinkle lights up and change up the look. We turned it into woodland twinkle light ceiling decor! Below is the original snowflake version post in case you missed it (with free downloadable patterns).

Make A Winter Wonderland For Pennies! Free Snowflake Patterns
Woodland Twinkle Light Supplies
- Artificial vines and flowers This is the set we used. It comes with 12 leaf strings and 12 flower strings. These are fairly thin but worked great for this project!
- Icicle twinkle lights We suggest yellow tinted bulbs but use whatever color bulb and wire you like. (Remote control battery style)
- Manual stapler
- Wire Cutters

Wall Butterflies (These were already on my wall and I just left them. They are ready to stick butterflies!
Instructions
This is the package of vines and flowers we ordered. Order whatever type of garland you like just make sure you get enough depending on how much of the ceiling you will be covering. 
This package came with 12 flower strands and 12 vine strands.
We separated the vines and flowers.
The flower strands will require using wire cutters to cut off the long plastic ends.
First, put up the icicle twinkle lights. This was done using a stapler, being VERY CAREFUL not to staple into the wire. These will pull out easily later. We stapled them randomly as we went.
This is how our lights looked once completed. Make sure to allow for running the cord somewhere. If you look closely you can see we placed a white extension cord down the corner of the wall. If you have battery operated lights you’ll have to mount the battery pack. 
We were now ready to hang the vines. We found that stapling over the vine wire would cut it in half as it was so thin so we ended up stapling into the leaves to hold it up. Again, we did this randomly as to how we wanted it. 
We would staple some, stand back and see how it looked, then continue on.
The butterflies on the wall were part of my normal decor. We left them up but if you’d like to buy some they are listed under supplies above.
After the ivy it was time to add the hanging flowers. We cut the long ends off with a wire cutter then stapled them in various places.
All done!
