Sometimes the simplest things can be the most useful. These tall pasta containers come from our Contemporary Kitchen Craft Series and they are about as simple as you can get but they sure are great for holding longer pasta like spaghetti and linguini. Add a little paint and labels and you’ve got yourself a classy little container for your kitchen. (We even provide the free labels!) Kitchen Craft Tall Pasta Container Supplies
- Tall slim bottles. (2 per container) Straight sided. We used Clear American Ice from Walmart. 17 oz.
- Masking Tape
- X-acto Knife
- Dry Erase Marker
- Hot glue or Tacky Glue
- Free Label Download
- Rustoleum Metallic Bright Silver Spray Paint (Its the best metallic we’ve found but use what type you like)
- Rustoleum Satin Seaside (this link is to gloss as they didn’t have satin)

Instructions
Gather your supplies. Begin by removing the labels and sticky residue from both of your bottles.
Using masking tape, wrap around the top of each bottle, about 2 inches from the end.
Cut along the edge of the masking tape with an X-acto knife.
Remove and discard both tops.
Wrap masking tape around the center of one of the bottles, covering the top half with a paper towel.
Tuck the paper towel into the bottle to prevent any over-spray when painting.
Spray paint the exposed half of the bottle.
Once dry, remove the paper towel and masking tape.
The painted bottle will now become the base to your container and the clear container will be the lid.
Cut a slit into the open end of the clear container, roughly 2 inches long.
This allows the bottle to slide more easily onto the base.
Download and print the free label above. Cut out the label.
Apply a small amount of glue to either side of the back of the label. Place the label on the front of the painted bottle, centered vertically over the painted edge.
Slide the clear bottle over the open end of the other bottle.
Now, simply fill with pastas or other dry goods to keep them safe and sealed for future use.
