Make a fun and quirky napkin holder from three CDs (or DVDs) some paint and our free printable downloads below! We’ve got a taco and a burger depending on what you’re in the mood for. A wonderful and useful upcycle project you can make in minutes! The trick is you use a small candle to bend the CDs.
Supplies for Napkin Holder
- 3 CDs or DVDs, blank is best with no coloring or label on them.
- Paint for your CDs
- Small tea candle. (You need fairly new ones with a long wick.)
- Glue of choice. (I used hot glue.)

How To Bend CDs/DVDs
NOTES: Use CDs that have no paper or ink on them. The candle wick needs to be long so it gives a high flame. You may want to do this outside as there will be a small amount of odor. The soot wipes off with a tissue!

Napkin Holder Instructions
Mark two of your CD or DVDs about 1.5″ in from an end. If you mark it further in than that then normal napkins will not stand up in it easily. After you mark your CDs bend them as instructed above using a candle.
This is how they will fit together.
Glue the two bent CDs onto the single regular CD making sure the taller parts stick up.
It can help the paint adhere if you sand the CDs slightly before painting them.
Paint or spray paint your napkin holder with the color of your choice.Print your graphics onto cardstock and carefully cut them out. If desired you can cover the graphics with a clear plastic contact paper. You can also coat them with Mod Podge or some other protector after you have glued them onto your holder.
UUUUUAAALLLL, simples e muito bacana essa ideia!!!!
