Who couldn’t use a little extra good luck? We’ve got some adorable little fairy tokens to bring you some! They’re made from clothespins and scraps of artificial flowers, felt and ribbon and are super easy to make. I “painted” mine using a variety of things from markers, to regular paint. Then I decorated them with things I already had. I already feel luckier! P.S. If you like these you’ll definitely love our beautiful little Stand Alone Fairy Doors!
Supplies
- Traditional one piece clothespins (not the spring type)
- Hack saw to cut by hand. (You can use an electric saw of course if you have one.)
- Paint or markers
- Artificial flowers, leaves etc.
- Hot glue gun
- Small eye hook
- String
- Drill
Visual Instructions
Notes: When you drill the hole in the top make it a little bit smaller than the eye hook so it will still screw in. I colored mine various ways and all of them worked fine. I found it easier to color them before cutting but it doesn’t really matter.
Lots of Different Good Luck Fairies!

These would be so great to put in a child’s schoolbag to wish them luck during the day. Great idea!
Excellent idea Emma! Thanks for stopping by!
These are adorable. I love how you used different embellishments to give each one its own personality.
Thanks Kathleen. Ü
This is the best fairy clothespin tutorial I’ve ever seen. I write, publish and teach about fairy tales, and am always looking for great ideas related to fairies and fairy tales. Thanks for a great start to my day!
Why thank you Kate! That’s quite a compliment coming from you. I’ve seen these done with those special wood pieces you have to buy but I wanted to try using regular old fashioned clothespins because they are so much cheaper. I was pretty happy with how it turned out! Thanks so much for stopping and commenting. I love all things fairy myself and have a couple other fairy posts including my Fairy Doors here http://bit.ly/easyfairydoors which I’m especially proud of. Ü
These are absolutely adorable! Thank you for linking up this great craft on Happiness is Homemade! Sharing on social media!
Thanks Lisa. Appreciate you saying so. Ü
