Visual Instructions
Cut your Styrofoam ball exactly in half

![]()
Gather all your supplies. You also need some spray paint and hot glue or thick adhesive.

![]()
Spray your CD on one side, use glitter and repeat on other side.

![]()
To make using glitter easier take a piece of paper and fold it in half.

![]()
Lay your CD on the paper and sprinkle your glitter onto it.

![]()
Shake off the excess.

![]()
When you’re done bend the paper along the crease you previously made and carefully pour the extra glitter back in the container!

![]()
Spray your Styrofoam halves.

![]()
Using hot glue or any thick adhesive of choice attach your Styrofoam halves onto the center of each side of your CD.

TWO WAYS TO DISPLAY SATURN MODEL: Place a small metal eyelet hook in the top and use fishing line to hang it. Or you can use any small piece of wood as a base. Drill a hole in it to fit a small wooden dowel than push your Saturn down onto the dowel. Both methods are shown below.

You can easily attach some fishing line to your planet for hanging.

Thank you for this! We’re just attempting to replicate this for our class project!!!
It’s fantastic!!!!
I love it!!! It is so pretty! Did you put red glitter on the Saturn Styrofoam ball? I didn’t see instructions about when in the process you did it, but I saw a picture that you purchased silver and red glitter…
Hi KC! Yep I put glitter on the Saturn too. Just a little not a lot. Thanks so much for visiting!
I love this idea. So fun! At first, when I looked at the picture, I thought that you had cut the CD and I couldn’t figure out how you cut it without breaking it. Now I see that you cut the Styrofoam ball. So much smarter!
