If you have old artwork that no longer fits your home decor here’s a quick inexpensive fun way to update it with a simple 3D painting makeover! Some artificial flowers and a hot glue gun is all we used! This is also a great idea for thrift store finds. - Old piece of artwork
- Artificial flowers & Leaves
- Hot glue gun
Instructions
After moving to a new home some of our old decor no longer fit. I had a piece of artwork (shown in our old home below) that was a skull with pink flowers on it. It didn’t fit in the room I wanted to place it in as the colors were wrong, so I came up with an idea to update it!
Here’s the art up close. Beautiful but not a fit in the new place.
I grabbed my box of misc. flowers and foliage and found what I wanted.
With a hot glue gun, I placed the flowers over the pink painted ones along with some leaves.
Added some gold.
In a few minutes this was the end result!
