My Kratom Story
15 years ago while going to college as a non-tradition student I started having pain issues. It began as sort of an all over achiness that got worse and worse. Being into natural healing I did my research and thought it was fibromyalgia. So I set about to heal it, making major lifestyle changes. Though I improved in many other ways the pain would not go away. As it got worse my quality of life went dramatically downhill. I finally went to a doctor and was diagnosed with arthritis of the spine, degenerative disc disease and scoliosis. I upped my game health wise and started doing things to improve these conditions. However, no matter what I did, the pain would not totally go away. I finally went to another doctor who diagnosed me with fibromyalgia. At one point I was given narcotics which did allow me to get my life back, but as most know are toxic to the body and addictive. I took these while I continued my search for healing trying a variety of different things. Finally, about 5 years ago a friend told me about Kratom. Not sure how I’d missed that herb but I studied it, ordered some and I kid you not… my pain was gone. It has no addictive properties that I’ve ever felt though anything can be addictive depending on the person. I’ve stopped it various times with NO side effects or withdrawal. A few others have reported having some withdrawal. But that’s not common. However, everyone is different.
How I Use It
I’ve used a wide variety of Kratom strains. Its best to use two or three strains at least so your body does not adapt to a single strain. For pain Red Vein Tai is my current favorite. For clarity, energy and also pain relief I use White Maeng Dah. I only use the powder and I take it 2 or 3 times a day. I require a heaping TB of the herb. FYI: this stuff is NASTY tasting. If you can afford capsules or make your own you might consider doing that.
In general, any type gives me relief of some sort. The white veins tend to be more energetic. More info on strains are below. I also purchases some containers to hold my Kratom as shown. Each one holds a 4 oz bag of kratom which is how much I purchase at a time of each strain. Buy these Kratom Containers here.

Now, the bad news. Because it is an herb that is so effective, like marijuana, the FDA/DEA has been fighting to get it scheduled. They do this with all supplements that are incredibly effective, such as marijuana. It is legal in most states with many states enacting legislation to keep it that way. Other states are trying to make it illegal. But they are having a problem due to one specific large organization that works to keep Kratom legal. The American Kratom Association. This organization and its leadership along with thousands of people across the country, present the science behind it’s safety. As I can’t go into all the various aspects of Kratom please visit their site and learn about this phenomenal life saving herb. Also remember, the CDC reports over 300,000 people die every year from properly prescribed and taken drugs approved by the FDA. This does not count deaths from those who abuse them. As you study this herb PLEASE do not blindly trust info from sites/organizations/people who profit off this plant being illegal.
Those who fight to make it illegal are those who profit from pharmaceutical companies. This includes the FDA/DEA and many doctors who know nothing about it. CASE IN POINT: I lived in Arkansas when I first started Kratom and it was legal. Two years after I had started using it with great success for my pain a single doctor, who ran one of the only methadone clinics in Arkansas, went to the Board of Health and told them his clients were telling him about using Kratom and how well it worked. It is of course MUCH safer than methadone. He told the board it was dangerous and should be made illegal. They did so… without any public debate. One doctor, who profited off of addicts, got a safe herb illegal. I have the Health Dept. documents on it. States that are trying to get it banned are finding it difficult due to the public outcry. So make sure Kratom is legal to be shipped to your state. I’m in Arizona now and its not only legal but legislation keeps it that way.
