Let your visitors join in the holiday festivities by donning a Christmas cap that you keep conveniently hanging next to the front door! Choose one of four sayings or a poem that is sure to make them smile. You can get the hats at any Dollar store and the hanger whips together in no time very inexpensively. We created two different versions. For more fun and creative DIY Christmas decor ideas, check out our Whimsical Burlap Tree using 6 Hangers and our Poinsettia Twinkle Lights!

Gather your supplies. You can use whatever color ribbon you like. You just need a nice 2.5″ to 3″ wide ribbon for the base ribbon .
We put bows on one set of clothespins.
Then glue bells on the bows.
Paint your clothespins and hot glue them onto your ribbon.
Glue your decor onto the clothespins.
Cut out the poem or quote you choose.
Cut out paper holly if you are using that.
For the holly, add red pompoms.
Glue your poem or quote onto your plaque. We use spray adhesive.
Clip on our hats and hang your plaque where it can be easily seen!
