Most families have their own unique Christmas Eve traditions. Us? We watch The Muppet’s Christmas Carol and eat baked cinnamon rolls with O.J. and hot cocoa. Listed below are eleven holiday movies and shows paired with some fun treat ideas and a special Christmas movie quote you can print and hand out that sums up the movies message. Christmas Eve Traditions Ideas
The details below can be found in the packet along with more info and the printable quotations. Many of the movies below can be watched online at various places such as Amazon, Netflix Etc.
MOVIE: A Christmas Carol (any version)
MUNCHIE: Non-alcoholic sparkling grape or apple cider in wine shaped bottles. Plastic wine glasses or goblets for toasting with. Most grocery stores carry both of these items during the holidays. They are fairly inexpensive.
MESSAGE: a. Honoring the feelings and love of Christmastime all year. b. Many things are more important than money. c. Be grateful for what you have.
NOTES: Print and hand out the quote. Make sure to do a “toast” with your cider and everyone saying “God Bless Us Everyone.”
MOVIE: Elf, 2003
MUNCHIE: Buddy the Elf Spaghetti Treat. You could also have regular spaghetti and put the sauce in a washed out syrup container. (Or be brave and have regular syrup on it like Buddy did!)
MESSAGE: a. Wearing a smile makes yourself and others feel better. b. Do the things you love. c. Never give up.

MUNCHIE: Snowflake cookies (Signifies Sally catching snowflakes on her tongue.) You can buy ready made cookies and draw on snowflake designs with store purchased icing in tubes.

Holiday Movie Quote Craft
As a bonus you can print out the quotes and mount them onto thin cardboard and hand them out with a easel as shown. Pull them out each year as part of your Christmas Eve Traditions.
