Do you have children that live in other states? Or grandmas and grandpas, mothers, fathers, or any extended family that you’re close to? Here is an idea to keep them in your mind and hearts all the time. Create a time zone clock wall complete with photos of each person. The entire wall cost me about $16. I added their names and state with labels underneath but that’s optional. When all of our four kids were in other states this wall gave me a feeling of connection to them.
Supplies
- Inexpensive plastic clocks (I purchased mine at Walmart for $3.98 each)
- 5x7 frames (I already had some I had purchased from the Dollar Store)
- Photos of each person. Reprints are cheap at most one hour photo places i.e. Walgreens, Walmart etc.
- Name labels, if desired.
- Spray paint for frames if desired.

Instructions for Extended Family Time Zone Clock Wall
The wall is quick to assemble once you have the items. I already had a bunch of frames. I spray painted them to match my decor. I purchased cheap clocks at Walmart and just kept them white. I have a Silhouette cutter so I cut out names and the state of each child but that's optional. I placed Roy and I in the center.
Clocks for each family member. $3.98 each at Walmart.
Frames from the Dollar store, spray painted.
Photo of each family member. 5x7 reprints at Walgreen 1 hour photo. $1.50 each.

Framed each photo.

Plan out the best layout for your frames and clocks. I added some vinyl names under mine that I cut out using my Silhouette cutter. But that's obviously optional.j
Roy and I are at the center... of course.

As someone who lives away from family, I’ve never thought of this! If I would ever do this, I think I would include the clocks as part of a gallery wall rather than alone. Thanks for the idea!
You’re so welcome. Thanks for stopping by Kristi!
What a great idea! My late sweet mother-in-law could have used this idea…she would always get the times mixed up and call us at 5 am!
Awe… thanks so much for visiting Marigene.
Showed this link to a friend whose young adult daughter is headed overseas. Such a wonderful idea!
