You can go out and buy some ready made pretty pink tools but I found a quick inexpensive way to feminize up the tools I already had! The price to do this was the cost of a roll of pink duct tape. I then used some matching wall stickers for my toolbox. I was also having troubles with the guys in my house taking my tools so I thought this just might help dissuade them!
Supplies Used for a Pink Tool Set
- Pink Duct Tape
- Stickers or Wall Vinyl for your toolbox.
TAPE NOTES: Pink masking tape might work though I’ve not tested it. Washi Tape could be used on certain areas of the tools but you can’t place it on handles as I doubt it would hold up well. Pink electrical tape does not work well at all. It starts slipping off handles after a while and gets a bit gooey.
Girly Up Your Tools
Take your duct tape and cut it into an appropriate size as needed. Cover the handles or any part of the tool you wish. Keep in mind placing it handles might be an issue in warm weather as the tape can slip. My tools were only used indoors so it worked fine.
Add some pretty sticker’s to your toolbox to match. Wall vinyl works wonderfully also!
Hi, I just wanted to thank you for your idea for a feminine tool box. After googling, going on Amazon, Home Depot, Etsy, I couldnt find anything cute…they only sell pink tool boxes. I ended up buying a pretty blue metal tool box and cherry blossom stickers on Amazon, and the pink duck tape. Looking forward to putting it all together.
Glad you liked it Erica! Does make it more fun. Ü
